The People’s Leader, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Imam Ali Rahman, met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sultan bin Al-Muraikhi, on the sidelines of the second session of the Economic and Arab Cooperation Forum with the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, during which a package of bilateral cooperation issues were discussed.
The President, Imam Ali Rahman, expressed his satisfaction with the level of relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries, which were developed on the basis of understanding and taking into account mutual interests.
The two sides considered Qatar’s participation in energy projects, including the construction of hydropower stations and transmission lines, as one of the most profitable directions for cooperation.
The meeting also dealt with issues related to strengthening cooperations in the fields of mountain mining, direct trips between Dushanbe and Doha, and developing the tourism sector.
