Ambassador’s meeting with representatives of Qatari companies
On February 19, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar Nurmurod Mahmadali met with the Director of Development and Project Implementation of the Qatari company ‘Diar’, Diar Dushanbe Project Manager Mr. Eid Al-Qahtani and representatives of Urbacon Trading & Contracting (UCC) Jean Elias Akari and Musa Nabir.
The meeting discussed the activities of «Diar Qatar» – Diar Dushanbe project and Urbacon Trading & Contracting (UCC) joint stock company in Tajikistan and the continuation of the process of realisation of «Diar Dushanbe » investment project in the second and third phases. It was emphasised that the investments of Qatari company «Diar» in the implementation of projects in the sector of construction and development of urban infrastructure play an effective role in expanding and strengthening ties between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, cooperation with Urbacon Trading & Contracting (UCC) joint stock company in the fields of energy, mining, agriculture and construction was discussed, and ways to expand business contacts between the two countries in the field of investment in projects related to tourism infrastructure, as well as the use of economic and investment potential of Tajikistan were highlighted.
At the same time, ways to attract labour migrants from Tajikistan to the enterprises of these prestigious companies in Qatar were discussed.
In conclusion, the parties considered it necessary to hold regular meetings of sectoral enterprises in Qatar.
