Celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of Tajikistan in Doha
On September 24, 2026, a solemn reception was held in Doha to mark the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event was attended by ministers and other officials of the State of Qatar, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, heads and representatives of international organizations, members of the business and cultural communities, representatives of the media, as well as members of the Tajik community residing in Qatar.
In his congratulatory remarks, H.E. Mr. Nurmurod Mahmadali, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar, highlighted Tajikistan’s significant achievements during the years of independence and particularly emphasized the historic role, constructive policy and outstanding efforts of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, in strengthening national statehood, ensuring peace, stability and national unity, promoting the country’s sustainable development, and enhancing Tajikistan’s standing and role in the international arena. The Ambassador also noted the steady development of friendly and fraternal relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar.
The event also featured a cultural programme with the participation of distinguished artists of Tajikistan, as well as an extensive cultural and historical exhibition showcasing the country’s history and culture, national crafts and tourism potential.
