Signing of new cooperation documents between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation
Following the Tajikistan — Russia talks, President Emomali Rahmon and President Vladimir Putin signed a Joint Statement of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Russian Federation.
Additionally, 17 new cooperation agreements listed below were also signed.
— Agreement on cooperation in the field of the aluminum industry between the state unitary enterprise «Tajik Aluminum Company» and the public joint-stock company «VTB Bank».
— Memorandum of cooperation between the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation.
— Agreement on scientific cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
— Agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation between the executive body of state authority of the Sugd province and the government of Nizhny Novgorod region in Russia.
— Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of consumer rights protection between the Antimonopoly Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare of the Russian Federation.
— Plan for joint activities between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for 2019.
— Agreement between the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation on simplifying customs procedures for goods and vehicles moving between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan (Simplified Customs Corridor).
— Interdepartmental protocol on the compliance with phytosanitary requirements when importing high phytosanitary risk fruits and vegetables from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation.
— Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the organized recruitment of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan for temporary employment in the territory of the Russian Federation.
— Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the construction, material and technical equipment of general education schools providing Russian language instruction in the cities of Dushanbe, Kulob, Khujand, Bokhtar and Tursunzoda.
— Agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of tourism.
— Protocol on amending the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in petroleum product deliveries to the Republic of Tajikistan dating February 6, 2013.”
— Agreement between the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation on cooperation and assistance to the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in combating the trafficking of illicit drugs, including psychotropic substances and their precursors.
— Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
— Intergovernmental memorandum of understanding on issues of ensuring biological safety.
— Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on cooperation in identifying and assessing the radiation, chemical and biological situation in the interests of formations and military units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation in their joint actions.
Following the signing ceremony, President Emomali Rahmon and President Vladimir Putin made a statement for the press and expressed their satisfaction with the results of the meetings and negotiations.
