Working trip to Jabbor Rasulov district of Sughd Region
On October 22, 2018, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Sughd Region to become familiar with socio-economic development, the course of construction activities and to conduct dialogue with its people.
The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon began his working trip in Jabbor Rasulov district, where he attended the opening of a 17km long section of Dehmoy — Madaniyat — Mehrobod highway, after reconstruction. Rehabilitation of the Dehmoy — Madaniyat — Mehrobod concludes the first stage of the Khujand-Isfara road rehabilitation project which is carried out within the framework of Central Asia Regional Links Project (CARs-2).
The two-lane road is 8-16 meters in width and is built in line with international standards. All this work is being carried out in accordance with Tajikistan’s Government strategic goals to overcoming the communication deadlock, turning Tajikistan into a transit country.
In addition, in accordance with the project, 6 bridges with a capacity of 80 tons have been built here. Over 120 people worked to complete the section highway two years.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly evaluated the construction work and expressed his gratitude to the road builders for their contribution to the road upgrades.
In addition, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended the inauguration of a non-state nursery-kindergarten “Nurafshon” — designed for 240 children – constructed in Jabbor Rasulov district.
It was informed that kindergarten is composed of 8 sleeping rooms, 8 games hall, a swimming pool, a canteen and other ancillary facilities. Curriculum classes are conducted in Tajik, Russian and English.
The construction of the non-state nursery-kindergarten started in November 2016. Kindergarten was supplied with necessary equipment. It is planned that 40 people will work here.
In the administrative centre of Jabbor Rasulov district of Sughd Region, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened the Flag Square, where the flag flies on a 50m-high flagpole measuring 17 meters by 7 meters.
The Flag Square occupies a total area of 15 hectares. The modern lighting system was installed and green areas were laid out here.
As part of his working trip to Sughd Region, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon in the Ghulakandoz Jamoat of the Jabbor Rasulov district has commissioned a sewing and carpet weaving enterprise.
Thirty local women have been employed with permanent jobs.
It was informed that sewing enterprise is equipped with modern technologies. The team has mastered the manufacturing garments for school students, uniform for enterprises and institutions, bedding and national clothes.
While touring carpet weaving enterprise, it was informed that the enterprise is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The production capacity is almost 150 square meters per day.
The carpets made in enterprise are of high quality and meet the requirements of the market.
In addition, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon attended an official opening ceremony of the healthcare center in the Mehrobod jamoat of the Jabbor Rasoulov district
This two-storey healthcare center has 21 rooms, including a patient reception room, a vaccination room, a room for circumcision ceremony, a treatment room, a laboratory and other auxiliary rooms. Healthcare center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
Healthcare centre has been built under support of the government within the framework of the medical service improvement project.
After that, the head of state Emomali Rahmon held a fruitful meeting with public active of Jabbor Rasulov district.
While on a working trip to Sughd Region, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon also familiarized himself with horticultural, fish farming and activities of dehkan farms of Jabbor Rasulov district.
The President of the country learned about the harvesting process and had a warm conversation with farmers and called them for storage and export of products to domestic and foreign markets.
