Visit to the State Institution «National Garden — Vahdat»
In addition, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited State Institution «National Garden — Vahdat» of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan during his trip to the Sughd Region.
Recall that the “National Garden — Vahdat” was opened by the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon on March 20, 2008, then apricot seedlings were planted on an area of 100 hectares.
The garden was laid out on 631 hectares, including apricots in 364 hectares, peach in 48 hectares, apple in 35 hectares, and cherry in 5 hectares, plum in 12 hectares and grapes in 10 hectares.
On the territory of the garden, the Head of State inspected two greenhouses for growing tomatoes and cucumbers in the area of 0.9 hectares. The head of state also learned about the harvesting process of grapes and garnet.
The head of state Emomali Rahmon also commissioned three new lakes with an area of 0.35 hectares on the territory of the “National Garden — Vahdat ”. For the cultivation of various fish species, the development of fish farming and the promotion of environmental improvement, 15 thousand different fish species were released into the lakes, such as silver carp, carp and grass carp.
